I'll try to do this without giving any spoilers. Before reading, keep in mind that I grew up with "The Chronicles of Narnia" and they have been and still are one of my favorite book series. From this, I have my own vision of what Narnia is like and how the stories play out, and it is very different from the view of Andrew Adamson, the director. That makes up a big part of how I review this as well as the last film.

Overall, I thought it was very good, but I think it could have been a lot better. The thing that bothers me the most about the film is that it really focuses on action and battles. I'm not saying they weren't handled well. It's just that there was way too much of it, and it seemed to drag on a little and drown out the story.

The story itself and development are one of the most important things to me when watching a film. In "Prince Caspian," there could have been a lot more development. Some things needed more explanation and there were two important parts of the story that were in the book that were totally left out. On the other hand, there were some things expanded or changed in the story that I really liked.

The things that were good in the movie made me leave the theater satisfied, more so than any disappointments I had. The acting was well done. Ben Barnes did a great job as Caspian, but I wish he was in the film a lot more than he was. Miraz and all the Telmarines played their parts very well. The Pevensies improved their acting skills a little. An improvement from the last film was the dialog and the movie was put together in a much better way. Some scenes in the last film seemed either too quick or out of place to me.

The costume and set designs were awesome! The music was good, about the same as the last film.

As a Narnia fan and one who loves watching movies, I enjoyed the film. On a scale of 1-10 I would give it about a 7.5. Definitely go to the theaters and see it!

"The Voyage of the Dawn Treader," the next film, will be directed by Michael Apted (who directed the movie "Amazing Grace") instead of Andrew Adamson. Shooting is scheduled to begin in November 2008 and will be released on May 7, 2010. I really like the director so I'm looking forward to it. I hope a film is made for all seven books!!!
